12/12/2009 Cleveland Area Adobe User Groups Annual Holiday Social

I have some unfortunate news for this year's Holiday Social. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to have our Annual Holiday Social at the Winking Lizard in Independence this year. I don't want to go into specifics, but I do want to apologize for those of you who enjoyed the event in previous years.

HOWEVER, the managers and co-managers of the Cleveland area Adobe User Groups have been working very hard to carry on the tradition of the Holiday Social despite the set back with the loss of the Winking
Lizard this year. It is with great joy that I can announce to you that the Holiday Social will go on this year! However, things will be a bit different this year.

Dan Vega, our CFUG co-manager, is throwing a party to help out local area children, and he has graciously allowed the Cleveland Area Adobe User Groups access to this event. So, this year, we will join Dan Vega for the 2nd Annual Toys for Shots event. The name Toys for Shots is a cross between Toys for Tots and alcohol shots.

If you would like to attend the Holiday Social this year, we ask that you join us for Toys for Shots. If you bring 1 toy as a donation to Toys for Tots, you will receive TWO drink tickets that you can use. We
thought we would put out a nice little incentive for all attendees to bring a toy. I hope you can come out and join us for an event that is going to be a lot of fun and also helps out a great cause!

We realize that the event is only TWO days away, Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., but we are hoping that many of you will be able to make it and help out this great cause.

As a reminder, everyone from the user group who attends Toys for Shots will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win free software from Adobe in our semi-annual software raffle.
